You cannot solve a problem from the same consciousness that created it.
– Albert Einstein

The UN, the world’s most legitimate steward of universal values and convener of global actors, and other actors in the international system, have a special responsibility to lead the promotion and manifestation of humankind’s highest ideals.  Beyond political compromise and short-term interests, it must serve as the inspiration and model for compelling evolution towards greater wholeness, global community and shared well-being.
